Thanks to his grandmother Stacey, Bryant had a life-changing experience that he will never forget. The day his wish came true, Bryant felt the thrill and excitement of what it means to be a ninja and save an entire community.
Though Bryant’s heartfelt wish would not have been possible without the goodwill of an amazing individual who decided to take the courageous first steps in referring her grandson to Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada.
Make-A-Wish® works diligently to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illness. Every wish experience begins with a referral: they are the cornerstone of how Make-A-Wish reaches more children each year.
A child who may be eligible to receive a wish can be referred by one of four sources: medical professionals, their parents/legal guardians, or the potential wish child. A child is eligible for a wish if they are battling a critical illness between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 and have not received a wish from another wish granting organization before.
Wish kid Bryant’s heroic venture would not have been possible without a referral from his grandmother Stacey. Stacey recognized the impact that a wish has on a child and referred him to receive this life-changing experience. Little did she know, her superhero grandson would go on to save the Chief of Police, Daniel Hahn and the entire Sacramento community from an evil villain.
