Marisha,18, has spent the majority of her teenage years in treatment for Lymphoma. When she learned that she had been referred for a Make-A-Wish, Marisha knew instantly that she wanted it to be extra special, not only for her, but for her family.
Marisha’s mom, Mary, has talked about going to Alaska for years and Marisha knew that she had wanted to share that experience with her mom. While on her Alaskan Cruise, Marisha had the opportunity to watch live musical shows, and eat various different types of food throughout her stay and go on a Musher’s Camp excursion. While she was on the excursion, Marisha was able to learn how the dogs were trained and was even able to hold a puppy that would eventually become a sled dog in the Alaska terrain. While on board, Make-A-Wish made sure Marisha’s trip was as memorable as possible. The chef’s aboard the Royal Caribbean gave Marisha a trip around the kitchen and showed her what their daily routine looks like. Although Marisha’s trip only lasted for a short period of time, the memories she created on the Royal Caribbean and in Juneau, Alaska will last for a lifetime.
