Corporate Giving
Since the Make-A-Wish Foundation® was founded - the business community has been a strong supporter of the Make-A-Wish® mission. Through corporate grants, event sponsorships, donations and in-kind services the business community enables us to continue our mission of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions in the 37 counties we serve. By offering corporations a variety of ways to help, the Foundation believes that a partnership is possible with any business or corporation.
Workplace/Employee Giving
Corporate or Workplace Giving enables employees of a company or business to join together and design a fund raising event or an ongoing workplace campaign that fits the needs of their particular work environment. We are constantly amazed and delighted at the variety of ways in which employees raise money. Staff support from the Make-A-Wish Foundation is always available, and this site is full of ideas, one of which might be right for your company. Star Program at Your Business
The Star Program offered through Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada allows you to align your business with the power of the Make-A-Wish brand! The program allows customers, colleagues, friends and family to purchase cut-out stars (with the Make-A-Wish logo) or magnetic stars from your business for a donation. You then post the stars on a wall/ window for all to see. Visit the Star Program Page for more information.
Matching Gift Program
Wish your dollar could go farther? Well it can! Turn your $100 donation into $200 without any additional money from your wallet! Many area companies whether small or large will match your charitable contribution through their matching gifts program. Please click here for more information.
United Way, America’s Charities/CFC & SECA Campaigns
Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada participates in a variety of corporate, federal and state giving campaigns. Consider designating the Make-A-Wish Foundation for your United Way donation. Make sure to specify the Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada or check with your campaign representative for the appropriate code. Contact your local United Way office or call the Make-A-Wish Foundation at 1-888-828-9474 for more information.
Federal and state government employees may also contribute to the Foundation. The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Make-A-Wish designated code is #8003. Contact your local SECA campaign representative for the Foundation’s State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA) code.
Invite a Make-A-Wish Representative to Talk to the Employees at your Company
We have talented speakers, videos and lots of photos of our wish children. Once employees find out about the Make-A-Wish Foundation and see the smiles a wish can bring to a child’s face, they are usually eager to become involved.
