Make-A-Wish® welcomes Rex Moore President David Moore to Board of Directors

SACRAMENTO, CA (September, 2015) Make-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada welcomes its newest member David Moore, President of Rex Moore Electrical Contractors & Engineers, to the chapter board of directors.

A fourth generation Sacramento family business owner for one of the Top 50 largest electrical contractor companies in the nation, Moore is passionate about making an impact on the community he and his family have been a part of for generations. “Both personally and professionally, I have always been involved in local charities and causes that help the communities in which we live and do business,” said Moore. “My wife Vanessa and I were looking for a charity to include our two daughters and help foster the next generation of charitable giving within our family and decided a few years ago that Make-A-Wish would be that charity. Since we became involved, I have come to appreciate the incredible impact that a wish makes for children in our region with life-threatening medical conditions.  I’m excited to be in a leadership role of an organization that can provide joy and hope to children and their families,” he added.

Moore says that his goal as a member of the board of directors for Make-A-Wish is to use his vast business experience and local connections to help the organization grow and expand its ability to grant wishes. “I’m really excited about the mission and purpose of Make-A-Wish and I would hope I could provide valuable input to the team based on my years of experience in running a large company with many strategic objectives and a strong culture of continuous improvement,” Moore noted.

As member of the Board of Directors, Moore will play a critical role in fulfilling the Make-A-Wish® mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  Additionally, he will act as a Make-A-Wish ambassador, helping to raise awareness and educate the community on the impact of a wish.
