joe-and-pat-harbison-442x640.jpgJoe and Pat Harbison have been deeply entrenched in Make-A-Wish and specifically the Winter Wine & Food Fest since the late nineties. So it’s only fitting that we honor them both at the upcoming 25th Annual Winter Wine & Food Fest, Saturday, February 23 at the Sacramento Convention Center from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.

“I’ve been an avid wine collector since I was very young and have been donating and purchasing wine for the last 30 years for charity auctions, like the Winter Wine & Food Fest,” said Joe.

In addition to donating from their personal cellar, the Harbisons, in 1998 began producing their own wine. Their first vintage: one barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon. A few years later, they purchased five acres in the Oakville district of Napa Valley and began growing their own grapes that produces world class Cabernet Sauvignon.

“Our love of collecting and producing wine, couple with our love of Make-A-Wish, made getting involved with the Winter Wine & Food Fest very easy for Pat and me,” he said. “We are humbled to be recognized for the part we have played in making it a success of the years.”

Because of their commitment and dedication, this event is the largest fundraiser for our chapter, and brings in funds to grant more than 80 wishes.
